You can do drifting whenever you step on the throttle...No emission, low noise level. Perfect for the indoor Go-Kart track. We call it Kleenspeed E-Kart!
Happy Thanksgiving, this is what we were doing yesterday. You will find the link to You Tube below. The E Kart appears to be competitive indoor or outdoors . We have it geared to go 48mph, that's how fast it is going in the film. It gets up to 48mph too fast and we will gear it higher to go 65mph which equates with Rotax powered outdoor karts on a normal straightaway. The AC motor puts out peak horsepower of 30 and that equates with the Rotax 28hp. The E Kart seems to have the same acceleration rate (torque} but is a little heavier due to the battery packs. It looks like the run time will initially exceed 15 minutes which is good for go karts. The E Kart is a continuation of R&D for our "Lite" 110 volt development of total EV systems and components for smaller electric vehicles. Remember - no pollution, no emissions , no noise, no maintenance, re gen, cost of a couple of thousand dollars above a conventional Kart, rapid change battery packs and neck snapping acceleration. see Kleenspeed.com and Kleenspeed Facebook (be sure to say you like it) for more info.
